Hello! I'm Sophia.

I'm a firm believer in the power of art and language to change the way we see, and treat, the world. So when I came to fully appreciate the strength of Australian natives growing in our varied, harsh climates, it triggered a cycle of inspiration: their hardiness reminded me of how we ourselves struggle through difficulties, their beauty made me ache with the knowledge that we're slowly destroying our world regardless of how tough it looks.

When the character of Australian flora is made clear to us, it's impossible not to reach the same conclusion: this world we're so in awe of needs protecting. I aim for at least 90% of the materials used to create these tapestries to be second hand, up-cycled, refurbished, or repurposed.
